Implementation of number portability services in Ukraine on the public telecommunication network

Abstract

The article deals with the implementation process of subscriber number portability services on the mobile communication networks of Ukraine. Studied European and international experience with projects implementation services for the transfer of subscriber numbers for mobile and fixed networks telephony. Separately considered routing number format for routing calls to ported subscriber number. The analysis of the provision of the mentioned service is carried out based on the results of the first half of the year. Suggestions are made to provide this service on fixed telephone networks. The results of the first half of the provision of services for the transfer of a subscriber number on mobile networks of Ukraine indicate the need to simplify the procedure for obtaining such a service. The experience of introducing a service for transferring a subscriber number on mobile (mobile) communication networks shows that a decision to introduce a service for transferring a subscriber number on fixed telephone networks should be preceded by a thorough analysis of these networks and an economic justification for its implementation.
