This article considers the problem of tunneling management strategies in an IP/MPLS transport network with a focus on improving the efficiency and optimization of data transmission. It is proposed to use a specialized model to identify and optimize tunnel resources aimed at maintaining a high level of service quality.
The relevance of creating a tunneling management model in the context of traffic growth and expanding the functionality of the IP/MPLS network is substantiated. It is noted that traditional management methods can be ineffective in a rapidly evolving environment, and the use of a specialized model is a key factor for optimal use of tunnel resources.
The authors introduce a formalized tunneling management model that includes the following important components: segments of tunnel resources representing separate aspects of the IP/MPLS network; a mechanism for determining and analyzing traffic for each tunnel segment; prioritization of tunnel traffic in accordance with management efficiency criteria, contributing to the optimal allocation of resources and ensuring the highest level of service.
