Abstract

In the article, the development of the radio interface of the system of interacting devices of the Internet of Things platform was examined and investigated. The purpose of the work is to investigate the structure of the home automation system radio interface with the convenience of making changes to the logic of operation for the unprepared user. Functionality of existing computer boards and sensor sets, their capabilities and methods of interaction have been studied. The review and analysis of existing solutions for the implementation of the interaction of components and radio interfaces of Internet of Things systems is conducted. An approach to receiving, processing and transferring information within the Internet of Things platform has been developed. The prototype of the system is implemented based on the developed approach and the radio interface. The relevance of this topic is due to the fact that at the moment the Internet of Things market is growing rapidly, the introduction of «smart homes» designed to automate the processes of providing comfortable living, security and resource saving became popular. The Internet of Things, both term and concept, appeared relatively recently, in 1999 at MIT Kevin Ashton. His presentation talked about how widespread introduction of RFID tags would change logistics at Procter & Gamble. On the one hand, quite a few freeware software products have been created for a wide range of users who want to implement home automation, and on the other, in order to modify the system for their needs, the user needs to have the programming skills to create a barrier to daily implementation. The Internet of Things will capture virtually every segment in the industry, business, healthcare and consumer products. It is important to understand the implications as well as why these completely different industries will have to change their approach to the production of goods and services. For the electronics industry and the information technology industry, this data is of great importance, as the annual population growth of the Earth is currently around 0.9-1.09%. The population growth rate of the Earth reached its peak in 1962, when it was 2.6% per year, and since then under the influence of a number of factors has been slowly declining.
